Special District Formation, Representation, and Finance
Ms. Tanaka is a principal of White, Bear & Ankele. She was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2000, was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2004, and has been with the firm since 2006. Ms. Tanaka practices local government law representing special districts, intergovernmental authorities including various forms of transportation authorities, and limited-purpose public entities including local improvement districts and business improvement districts. Ms. Tanaka has served as issuer’s counsel in dozens of public financings resulting in the issuance of over $200 million in public revenues. Ms. Tanaka was also instrumental in organizing the first public improvement districts in New Mexico. Ms. Tanaka has significant experience in all facets of commercial and residential real estate development.
